Proposal section descriptions:

Names, official title, and department of both (CS + Track) advisors

I. Abstract

A brief summation (less than 300 words) of the project.

II. Overview

Your goals and motivations in more detail than the abstract.

III. CS 4900

This section has three subsections: a technical description, timeline, and deliverables.

The technical description should clearly outline precisely what work will be done during the 4900 working with the CS advisor. Any work to be completed in the other course should not be included here unless required to inform the 4900 work.

The timeline should outline on a week-to-week or bi-weekly basis the progress of the work.

The deliverables should include the deliverables required of the CS 4900 as well as those agreed upon by you and your CS advisor.

IV. Track Project Course

The sections here are the same as in section three above and should be filled out accordingly. However, you should be sure to articulate as clearly as possible how your track-specific research will build on your CS work outlined in section 3, and should detail the extent of your discussions to date with track faculty.
